The block club provides opportunites for networking, meeting new neighbors, connecting with local businesses, and trying local flavors from particpating restaurants.

Join your neighbors for an afternoon of fun at the Ainslie, Winthrop & Kenmore Block Party on Saturday, August 15, from 12:00–6:00 p.m.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy, including a bounce house, magician, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, live entertainment, a neighborhood craft market, and an exciting raffle featuring thousands of dollars in prizes donated by local businesses. You'll also have the opportunity to meet your local and state elected officials, connect with neighborhood organizations, and learn more about the wonderful resources available in our community.
Whether you're new to the neighborhood or have lived here for years, this is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, support local businesses, and celebrate the vibrant Uptown community.
The Ainslie Winmore Block Club is bordered by Argyle, Lawrence, Broadway, and Sheridan Road. Located in the heart of the Uptown Entertainment District, our block club represents 1,200 households and more than 150 businesses throughout the seven streets within our boundaries!
The annual Block Party is only one way we build strong connections with our neighbors and work towards a safer neighborhood for all.
The Ainslie Winmore Block Club is a recognized 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization.

❓When is the block party and where is it located? Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 12-6PM on Kenmore Avenue.
❓What are the street perimeters? The block party is hosted on Kenmore Avenue from Ainslie to Lawrence.
❓What are the details? The planning committee has obtained enough signatures to hold the next Block Party on Winthrop Avenue on Saturday August 1. Street closure will be in effect at 8AM-6PM. There will be a live DJ spinning summer vibes, face painting artists, popcorn, cotton candy, a bounce house, games, and so much fun, you'll want to stay all day!
❓What is a Pet Parade and how can I enter? The Pet Parade is one of our signature events. Bring your dog, cat, bird, rabbit, snake, or other animal to showcase their best trick, or dress them in a cute outfit, and show off their hidden talent. We want to share it with the neighborhood! Enter the parade at 2PM and "Strut their Stuff" to be entered to win a fabulous prize!

Why consider Sponsoring or Tabling?
The Block Party is a completely FREE community event designed to bring our diverse neighborhood together for a day of connection and summer fun. In 2025 over 400+ residents attended and enjoyed a live DJ music spinning summer vibes, face painting, dancing, pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, games, a food truck, 22 raffle prizes, 15 vendors, and one enormous bounce house.
We are actively seeking individuals, local businesses, and organizations to partner with us as we grow. We need your donation support to ensure the block party remains zero-cost to all.
Exhibiting at our event ensures that you are visibly in front of our community and the decision makers. It provides an opporunity to gain new leads and obtain new business in a relaxed, commuity centered event. As an official table exhibitor at our event, we'll ensure you have the backing of the block club and provide you the enviroment of highly concentrated visitors to generate new leads. You'll receive logo recognition on all digital marketing pre- and post event. During the event you'll have opportunities to speak to the attendees during our Vendor Showcase Hour and receive logo recognition on the onsite banners.
